Fay Jones has called for residents to use the Barclays community Bus which visits Brecon and Llandrindod Wells weekly. Barclays have assured customers it will find a permanent presence in Brecon following the banks closure in August, yet they are still trying to find a suitable location.
The Barclays local bus is currently located in the Morrisons store car park every Tuesday. The Team on board can provide answers on Everyday banking queries, Digital Support, Moving money and Fraud and Scam information. Appointments are available on a drop in basis and can also be booked in advance online. Tuesday appointments are also available at the Hive, in Llandrindod Wells.

Ms Jones has previously called for a greater protection for our rural banking service.
She said “I’m aware Barclays are working extremely hard to secure a Brecon location and I look forward to that announcement. It’s vital that Rural Businesses and residents have access to cash and banking services. No one likes to see their local bank close, but banking is changing and it is imperative that no one is left behind.
